Hardy Spicer have developed an extensive catalogue of OEM cross references for Hydraulic hoses, Driveshaft, and Universal joints to make ordering replacements parts as easy as possible. Developed through many years of servicing the mining industry our OEM Partsfinder now contains specifications for 1000’s of OEM driveshafts and over 100,000 hydraulic hoses to suit a range of mining heavy equipment.

Driveshaft Services – Heavy Vehicle

Hardy Spicer stock complete Driveshaft assemblies to suit common surface and underground Heavy Mining equipment. Our extensive range of driveshafts are built to OEM specifications, using OEM parts. Hardy Spicer has cross references for 1000’s of OEM driveshafts, so if we don’t have one in stock, we can build it to order in one of our specialist driveshaft workshops around the country.​

As well as manufacturing new driveshafts, Hardy Spicer can also repair, modify, and remanufacture driveshafts for mining equipment.​

Driveshaft Services – Light Vehicle (4WD)

Hardy Spicer have a range of driveshafts and axle components to suit light vehicle fleets and 4WD’s and can manufacture, modify, and repair driveshafts to suit a range of vehicle manufacturers.

To specifically meet the demands of the mining industry Hardy Spicer have developed a range of heavy-duty Toyota driveshafts and CV joints . These products are a direct interchange for standard OEM components and are proven to extend service life in the harshest environments compared to OEM parts​.

Cooling Fans

Hardy Spicer’s experienced personnel and state of the art balancing equipment have the capability to recondition, balance, and repair engine and cooling fans to ISO standards. A range of complete replacement fans are kept in stock for times when lead time is critical or a repair is uneconomical.

Hydraulic Hoses

Hardy Spicer is Australia’s only national distributor of the Gates Connected range of integrated hydraulic hose and fittings products. All Gates products distributed through Hardy Spicer are designed and tested to be used as fully matched components.​

Hardy Spicer has an extensive database of over 100,000 OEM hydraulic hose assemblies and can manufacture hoses to order, allowing prompt replacement of hose assemblies.

The Gates matched hose and fitting assemblies supplied by Hardy Spicer is fully compliant with MDG41 Guidelines for fluid power system safety at mines.

On-Site Hose Containers

Hardy Spicer can equip our customers to manufacture hose assemblies on their own premises. These facilities can be established as part of existing workshop amenities or can be provided as a “stand alone” unit housed within a purpose built 10ft, 20ft or 40ft container.

A typical facility can include:

  • Swage Press – Hose Crimper
  • 240-volt hose cut-off saw
  • Steel workbench
  • Plastic numbered parts boxes
  • Steel mesh hose racking

On-Site Mobile Hose Service

1800 HOSE VAN is Hardy Spicer’s own mobile hose service.  With national coverage our 1800 HOSE VAN’s provide emergency hydraulic hose repairs and services, 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. Our partnership with Gates and our team of highly skilled technicians means we do much more than replace hose assemblies, we provide an unmatched level of service and manufacturer expertise to your site.​
